They may also complete market research to learn more about clients.

Sales executives deliver presentations on products and services, review sales performance, and participate in sales meetings. They set sales goals and work toward achieving these goals with the assistance of sales associates. Their job includes developing sales strategies by researching, planning, executing, and managing a sales strategy. They conduct market research to find selling strategies, evaluate customer needs, establish new businesses, and build and maintain a CRM database like Salesforce.

A sales executive will perform cold calls, network, and manage email marketing and social media to find new sales leads. They identify new prospects and pitch them on their products and services while networking with other industry professionals. Sales executives answer client questions, offer advice, demonstrate and present products, and develop client relationships by providing support, information, and guidance. They also create reports with sales and financial data to inform management of progress.

Job #3: Marketing Associate

A marketing associate is responsible for increasing brand awareness, generating sales, supporting the sales team, and helping the organization reach revenue goals. They assist in planning and implementing marketing activities. They analyze research and marketing trends, gather consumer behavior, and create reports on sales metrics. 

A marketing associate may manage administrative tasks, including conducting market research, assisting with promotional events, and coordinating the creation of advertising materials. They will create reports on marketing and sales metrics to understand the marketing strategy’s success, prepare periodic sales forecasting reports, and monitor competitors’ marketing activities.

Job #4: Account Executive

The account executive builds relationships with new and current clients. They are project managers who plan and coordinate account activities, generate sales opportunities, and report the status of accounts to management. An account executive must be able to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients while understanding and anticipating their needs. They must stay current with the company’s offerings and industry trends. They will also maintain client databases.

An account executive will work with clients to solve problems and exceed expectations. They will need to illustrate product value and grow the client’s business. Account executives will regularly follow up with clients and ensure their needs are met. 

Job #5: Operations Manager

The operations manager oversees business processes to maximize profitability. They monitor production, identify waste, improve supply chain operations, and implement strategies to increase efficiency. They will ensure that the organization’s process complies with legal guidelines, rules, and laws. An operations manager may review the organization’s financial data and recommend improvements for additional profit. They may also recruit, train, and supervise staff.

Job #6: Entrepreneur

An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and operates one or more businesses. They often take on considerable financial risk when they begin their venture, and they’ll develop a business plan to ask for funding from an investor or a creditor.
