Maintaining Cold Storage Equipment in Commercial Settings
The Commercial Refrigeration program teaches the process of cooling, storing, and preserving food and other perishable products. These products may be stored in commercial refrigerators at convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, warehouses, or hospitals. The training develops skills for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems.
HVAC System
During this program, college students learn about HVAC concepts including controls, temperature programming and computer fundamentals. Graduates of this program are prepared to take the North American Technicians Excellence (NATE) certification. The school guides students through classroom theory that is then applied to real-world scenarios. HVAC training helps students prepare for work as entry-level apprentices in HVAC and commercial refrigeration.
