These college diploma programs are approved by the respective state agencies and meet all the criteria of the accrediting body – the Council on Occupational Education. Graduates are awarded a Diploma in recognition of completion and achievement.

Each diploma program contains the externship component and every graduate is eligible for life-time placement assistance. Accounting and Professional Business Applications

Interested in training for a career in Accounting and Professional Business Applications at a campus near Atlanta, Cincinnati, or Houston?

In this accounting program, you will develop essential accounting and office automation and application skills. The focus is on learning the basic Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Fundamental procedures in understanding Spreadsheets, Credits and Debits, setting up Accounts, Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Reports are at the core of the course. Opportunity is provided to learn the two most widely used automated accounting applications, Peachtree Accounting, and QuickBooks Pro for example. This accounting diploma program also includes Microsoft Certification in any of the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) components taken to satisfy graduation requirements.

As with all programs at ICT, this program includes an externship. An Externship is a program component that assigns a student to a partnering company near the campus for 135 hours of real-world experience prior to graduation, giving the student the opportunity to put his/her new skills to use.

And in a global economy it is becoming more and more important that people who hold administrative positions are able to operate function professionally in multiple languages. Word processing, accounting, and computer operating systems, when combined with keyboarding skills prepare the graduate for advanced or supervisory positions. This Bilingual Administrative Support Systems diploma program provides the essential tools for a successful career in a field that is vital to the success of most companies.

This program includes Microsoft Certification in any of the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) components taken to satisfy graduation requirements. This equips each graduate to go beyond basic clerical/secretarial positions.

Information Technologies Specialist Program

This Information Technology diploma program prepares the student to enter a career as a computer service technician in the area of service and maintenance of both industry and consumer computer products. The student will develop a basic understanding of the personal computer. Hands-on skills are highly emphasized in diagnosis and repair of related equipment. The student develops the knowledge and troubleshooting skills needed to operate and service computer and network equipment. The IT diploma program is focused on industry standards and includes preparation for the A+ and Net+ Certification exams with an understanding necessary to perform simple network administration tasks. The student learns the employment-seeking skills necessary to successfully enter the employment market.

Medical Office Administration Training Program
All Campuses

The health care field is one of the fastest growing segments of the labor force.  Aside from patient care and patient services, the processing of documents is a critical task that requires a well trained professional. Abundant career possibilities are available for the graduate with excellent keyboarding, word processing skills as well as experience in medical transcription, terminology, and medical office procedures. The career objective of this medical office specialist program is to provide the graduate the general knowledge and specific skills needed to obtain entry-level employment in the healthcare environment.

Medical Records and Health Information Administrative Specialists perform a variety of duties.  Included in these duties is the assembling of patient’s health information including medical history, examination results, diagnostic tests, treatment methods and other health care services.  The Office Administrative Specialist is increasingly called on to use electronic health records systems.  These systems cover a variety of services such as appointment scheduling, diagnostic test scheduling and billing and accounting services.

The career objectives of this medical assistant training program are to provide the graduate the general knowledge and specific skills needed to obtain entry-level employment in one of the fastest growing occupations in the healthcare environment.
